"The yearning to know what cannot be known, to comprehend the incomprehensible, to touch and taste the unapproachable, arises from the image of God in the nature of man. Deep calleth unto deep, and though polluted and landlocked by the mighty disaster theologians call the Fall, the soul senses its origin and longs to return to its source." — A.W. Tozer

First of all, this blog is not part of a new year's resolution. I haven't really made any new year's resolutions in a serious tone... I mean, the ones I've actually written down and thought about were during middle school... for the writing assignment. I mean, I had to write down something...

Anyway. I decided to finally start a blog just because. You see, I like to write but I don't make enough time to sit down and scribble, so I'll jot down thoughts and stuff... and also I can now say that I blog... or have a blog... or write in a blog when I feel like it: something I had down on my "to-do list".

Not just any to-do list, but a list of "things I would like to do someday"... and I've realized that while there's time, the someday could be now. I mean, ok: I've decided for quite some time to actually (at least try) and do things. Carpe diem in a healthy way :).

I guess it is also another way of taking what Psalm 90:12 says: "Teach us to number each of our days so that we may grow in wisdom." And this would be my new year's prayer: that God would teach me to appreciate each and every day in terms of time, opportunities, and experiences (good or bad) to gain wisdom and widen my perception of God's character, intervention and love.

Happy new year!
